Interactive Video Classrooms JPSM has three very advanced, high bandwidth videoconferencing systems ideally suited for distance learning applications. This systems were installed to provide a distant learning link between College Park and University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, but it also has general switched digital access to many other locations. The Tandberg Educator MXP (with Tandberg 6000 MXP codec) is at the heart of these video systems. This systems are compliant with all video conferencing standards, and have many excellent features. These video systems can run at any speed from 112kbps to 384 kbps in 56kbps or 64kbps increments via ISDN; they are also capable of IP video conferencing up to 4Mbps. This system also allows us to host MCU calls up to 4 sites simultaneously. |
