The International Conference on Questionnaire Development, Evaluation, and Testing Methods will be the first conference dedicated exclusively to the methods used for questionnaire development, evaluation and testing. The conference will provide a timely forum for exchanging knowledge and current research about questionnaire testing methods. It is intended to bring together researchers representing a diverse set of approaches and perspectives--including survey practitioners and methodologists, questionnaire design specialists, statisticians, social scientists, cognitive researchers, and others concerned with questionnaire testing and the survey question and answer process more broadly.

In the past few decades, methods for testing questionnaires have changed radically. New methods have been developed, and old methods have been adapted from other uses. The conference will focus on research that develops, applies, and/or evaluates new methods of questionnaire development. It is also concerned with the special requirements and challenges of testing questionnaires for special populations, including children, diverse cultural and language groups, and organizations. The intent is to advance the state of knowledge about current methods being used, as well as to introduce and assess new ones. The conference will focus on interviewer-administered and self-administered questionnaires.

Based on the conference papers, a monograph presenting state of the art research findings will be produced.

This web site will be used throughout the planning and conduct of the conference to provide information of interest to those who would like to attend the conference and/or present papers at the conference.

The official language of the conference is English. Translators will not be available.
